6.3.3 (1) (c) The thickness of overburden or quantity of waste rock to be removed to reach <br /> the deposit will not exceed 20 feet in depth. Overburden will be stockpiled <br /> separately from the topsoil and growth medium. It will be stored no closer than <br /> 2 feet from the edge of the excavation, measured from the nearest base of the <br /> spoil to the cut. If these stockpiles are not reapplied on the graded area <br /> immediately after salvage they will be stabilized with silt fencing to prevent the <br /> material from moving down slope. Overburden stockpiles will be located out of <br /> the mine traffic and out of drainageways. Growth medium will not be salvaged in <br /> the areas of the overburden stockpiles.Those areas will remain in-tact (Per the <br /> Forest Service recommendation). <br /> 6.3.3 (1) (d) The thickness of the deposit to be mined will vary depending on the mineral <br /> direction and depth of the pegmatites lodes.The maximum depth will not <br /> exceed 20 feet from the original surface. <br /> 6.3.3 (1) (e) The major components of the mining operation are minimal.The number of dig <br /> sites will not exceed six (6) at any one time.The excavations will be accessed <br /> with two (2) access routes.These two (2) access routes are shown on Exhibit E <br /> Mining Plan Detail 1 map as Permit Area Roads. These access routes/roads will <br /> be used as non-Forest Service system roads.They will be approximately 11 feet <br /> in width. Only dead trees up to a width of 10 inches will be removed along the <br /> routes.The grade on these routes two (2) routes is approximately 4:1 or less. No <br /> significant grade changes or culverts are anticipated. Only personal vehicles and <br /> excavation equipment will be used along the routes. All routes will be graded to <br /> their original grade if changed and reclaimed with a blend of native grass seed <br /> approved by the Forest Service. <br /> No shop/maintenance buildings or other structures will be constructed on the <br /> site.
