Section 03100 Concrete Formwork <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. This Section covers designing, furnishing, erecting, and removing of forms for cast -in- <br />place concrete. <br />1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Reference Standards. <br />1. American Concrete Institute Standards (ACI). <br />a. 301 Specifications for Structural Concrete for Buildings, Chapter 4, Formwork. <br />b. 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete. <br />c. 347 Recommended Practice for Concrete Formwork (Chapters 1 through 5). <br />d. 117 Standard Specifications for Tolerances for Concrete Construction and <br />Materials. <br />B. Design Criteria. <br />1. Design formwork for loads, lateral pressure, and allowable stresses outlined in Chapter <br />1 of ACI 347. <br />2. Limit panel deflection to 1/360 of each component span to achieve tolerances specified. <br />C. Maximum Allowable Tolerances. <br />1. Variation from plumb. <br />a. Lines and surfaces of columns, piers, and walls. <br />1) In any ten feet (10') of length: one-quarter inch ('/"). <br />2) Entire length: One inch (1 "). <br />b.
