PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />3.1 SLOTTED AND NON -SLOTTED PVC PIPE <br />A. The drainpipe shall be of the diameter as shown on the Drawings. <br />B. The piping shall be polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe schedule 40 or SDR 21 (with bell and <br />spigot gasketed joints) slotted or solid as indicated on Drawings. <br />C. All piping materials shall meet requirements of ASTM D 1785 and ASTM D 1784. <br />D. All joints, tolerances, jointing methods and materials shall meet the requirements of <br />ASTM F 480 and D 3139, where applicable, and any additional requirements listed <br />herein. <br />E. Drainpipe perforations shall be slots with a maximum width of 0.12 inches (3.0 mm) and <br />a minimum inlet area of 1.0 square inches per foot of pipe. <br />F. The slots shall be a minimum of two (2) rows separated by one hundred eighty degrees <br />(180°). <br />G. All schedule 40 and SDR 21 pipe and fittings shall conform to ASTM F 480. <br />H. Joints shall be plain end with couplers, flush -threaded joints, or bell -end fittings. <br />I. The pipe shall be white and shall be resistant to ultraviolet light. <br />J. Fittings, end caps, and, couplings shall be from the same manufacturer as the pipe. <br />K. All SDR 21 pipe and fittings shall conform to ASTM D3139. <br />3.2 FITTINGS: All fittings and accessories shall be as manufactured and furnished by the <br />pipe manufacturer or approved equal and have bell and/or spigot configurations identical <br />to that of the pipe. <br />3.3 PVC PIPE JOINTS <br />A. Provisions shall be made for contraction and expansion at each joint with a rubber ring. <br />B. The bell shall consist of an integral wall section with a solid cross section factory <br />assembled rubber ring, securely locked in place to prevent displacement. <br />C.
