Section 02610 Drainage Pipe <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. This section includes furnishing and installing 8 -inch diameter slotted and non -slotted <br />PVC pipe and fittings where shown on the Drawings. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. Section 01300 - Submittals. <br />B. Section 02200 — Earthwork. <br />1.3 STANDARD REFERENCES <br />A. Association for Testing and Materials International (ASTM): <br />1. ASTM D 698 Standard Test Methods for Laboratory Compaction Characteristics of <br />Soil Using Standard Effort. <br />2. ASTM D 1784 Standard Specification for Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) <br />Compounds and Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) Compounds. <br />3. ASTM D 1785 Standard Specification for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Plastic Pipe, <br />Schedules 40, 80, and 120. <br />4. ASTM D 3139 Standard Specification for Joints for Plastic Pressure Pipes Using <br />Flexible Elastomeric Seals <br />5. ASTM F 480 Standard Specification for Thermoplastic Well Casing Pipe and <br />Couplings Made in Standard Dimension Ratios (SDR), SCH 40 and SCH 80. <br />1.4 SUBMITTALS <br />A. All submittals shall conform to the requirements of Section 01300. <br />B. Submit product data and manufacturer of slotted and non -slotted PVC drainage pipe and <br />fittings to the Engineer at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to delivering pipe to the <br />site. Include data on slot configurations and slot openings to include slot opening <br />dimensions, and method and procedure of PVC pipe installation, including joint details. <br />1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. The pipe shall be hauled and handled in such a manner as to avoid damage to the pipe <br />and coating. The Contractor shall not use rope, cable, or chain slings for handling the <br />pipe, but may use canvas slings not less than 12 inches in width. <br />PVC Drainage Pipe February 2017 02610-1 <br />
