Section 02205 Geotextile <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. This section includes materials, testing and installation of geotextile at locations as shown <br />on the Drawings and as directed by Engineer. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS: <br />A. Submittals 01300. <br />B. Earthwork 02200. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. All submittals shall conform to the requirements of Section 01300. <br />B. Submit manufacturer's recommended installation instructions and details. <br />C. Submit mill certificate of affidavit that the fabric meets the requirements stated in this <br />Specification. <br />D. Submit quality control certificates to include roll identification numbers, testing <br />procedures, and results of quality control tests. <br />1.4 DELIVERY AND STORAGE <br />A. Packing and Shipping <br />1. Manufacturer shall identify rolls of geotextiles with the following: manufacturer <br />name; product identification; roll number; and roll dimensions. <br />B. Storage and Protection <br />1. Provide on-site storage area for geotextile rolls from time of delivery until the <br />material is installed. <br />2. Protect geotextile from dirt, water, ultraviolet light exposure, and other sources of <br />damage. Store geotextile on clean, dry surfaces, free of grease, oil, cement or any <br />other substances that would have a deleterious effect on the geotextile. When stored <br />in outside areas, keep geotextile at least one foot above ground level. <br />3. Preserve integrity and readability of geotextle roll labels. <br />4. Rolls that do not have proper identification at delivery will not be accepted and will <br />not be allowed on site. <br />Geotextile February 2017 02205-1 <br />
