1. Plus 0.01 to minus 0.2 feet for finish grade beneath structures and dam crest. <br />Grade tolerances apply to surfaces underlying Riprap. Subtract nominal thickness of <br />Riprap from final grades shown on the Drawings to determine grade to which that <br />tolerance applies. <br />Finish lines and grades shall not be consistently high or low within the tolerance ranges. <br />Dimensions of fill on the drawings shall be to the dimensions shown unless otherwise <br />approved by the Engineer. <br />3.8 PROTECTION AND REPAIR <br />A. Protecting Graded Area: Protect graded areas from ponded water. <br />B. Repair and re-establish grades: Materials not meeting the specified moisture content <br />and/or percent compaction shall be reworked until acceptable results are obtained. <br />Reworking may include removal, rehandling, reconditioning, rerolling, or combinations <br />of these procedures. The Contractor shall not be entitled to additional compensation by <br />reason of any Work required to achieve the placement moisture content and percent <br />compaction in these Specifications. Fill in excess of the grades delineated on the <br />Drawings shall be removed. <br />3.9 DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS AND WASTE MATERIALS <br />A. Transport surplus excavated material to Owner -designated Spoil Areas. <br />B. Placement and Compaction: Place and compact spoil materials in accordance with <br />paragraph 3.6.E. of this Specification. Grade outer slopes of spoil areas to slopes no <br />steeper than 4H:1 V, and top surfaces no steeper than 2% to drain. Reclaim slopes and <br />top of spoil piles in accordance with Section 02210. <br />3.10 INSTALLATION OF GEOSYNTHETICS <br />A.
