CLERK AND RECORDER <br />RESOLUTION <br />Planning Department No. 2016-0136 CUP <br />APPROVAL OF A REQUEST FOR A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A <br />SHOOTING SPORTS AND OUTDOOR COMPLEX <br />LOCATED AT 3874, 3898, 3913, 3915, 3926, 3934, 3956, 3942 19/10 ROAD; <br />AND 903, 951, 956, 983, 987, 995, 998 HIGHLINE CANAL ROAD, PALISADE <br />WHEREAS, Ron Quarles of the Town of Palisade sought approval for operation of a <br />Shooting Sports and Outdoor Complex facility located at 3874, 3898, 3913, 3915, 3926, 3934, <br />3956, 3942 19/10 Road; and 903, 951, 956, 983, 987, 995, 998 Highline Canal Road, Palisade <br />within the County of Mesa, State of Colorado and shown on attached Exhibit "A" and more <br />particularly described on attached Exhibit B, Legal Description; and <br />WHEREAS, the site plan for the project is shown on attached Exhibit C; and <br />WHEREAS, the staff recommendation was contained in a Project Review dated <br />September 23, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mesa County Planning Commission recommended approval at the <br />September 15, 2016 Planning Commission public hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, the public hearing, duly noticed, was held before the Mesa County Board of <br />County Commissioners on October 4, 2016 and continued to October 11, 2016. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF MESA FINDS AS FOLLOWS: <br />THAT public notice requirements of Section 3.1.8 of the Mesa County Land <br />Development Code (2000, as amended) have been met; and <br />THAT the conditional use permit request for operation of a Shooting Sports and Outdoor <br />Complex facility located at 3874, 3898, 3913, 3915, 3926, 3934, 3956, 3942 19/10 Road, and <br />903, 951, 956, 983, 987, 995, 998 Highline Canal Road, Palisade meets the applicable Approval <br />Criteria for Conditional Use Permits of Section 3.8.7, and General Approval Criteria of Section <br />3.1.17 of the Mesa County Land Development Code (2000, as amended). The conditional use <br />permit is consistent with Intergovernmental Agreements; and <br />THAT this request is in accordance with the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mesa County. <br />Page 1 of 14 <br />PR -6 A15-3-9 New 10/16 <br />
