C. Copies of all Colorado Department of Public Health and <br /> Environment permits shall be submitted to the City Department of <br /> Public Works prior to the start and at the end of dewatering <br /> operations. <br /> B. Blasting <br /> 1. Blasting is not permitted within the jurisdiction of the City unless authorized by <br /> the Director of Public works. <br /> C. Sequencing <br /> 1. Perform pipeline installation within 300 linear feet of trench excavation. <br /> a. This distance may be amended, with the City's acceptance, based <br /> upon job conditions. <br /> 2. Perform trench backfill within 300 linear feet of pipe installation. <br /> a. This distance may be amended, with the City's acceptance, based <br /> upon job conditions. <br /> 3. Backfill shall be completed, at the end of each day, to the extent that no <br /> damage from hydrostatic pressure, floatation,or other cause will result. <br /> i 4. Perform clean-up within 500 linear feet of trench excavation unless prior <br /> approval is given by the City. <br /> 5. Where excavation is a hazard to automotive or pedestrian traffic, the amount <br /> of open trench and the time duration of that opening is to be minimized. The <br /> City shall direct the amount of open trench that is acceptable for the condition <br /> encountered. <br /> 6. Maintain access to private residence and businesses. <br /> D. Underground Obstructions <br /> 1. The ENGINEER and/or CONTRACTOR shall field verify all As-Built <br /> Record drawing information obtained from the City. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR shall notify each utility owner and request utilities to be <br /> field located by surface reference. <br /> 3. The CONTRACTOR shall expose and verify the size, location,and elevation <br /> of underground utilities and other obstructions, sufficiently in advance of <br /> construction to permit changes to be made to the Construction Drawings in <br /> the event there is a conflict with the proposed and existing utilities. <br /> a.
