As a minimum, the following conformance <br />tests shall be conducted; with project requirements outlined in Section 02776, Article 2.01: <br /> Geomembrane: density (ASTM D1505) <br />carbon black content (ASTM D1603) thickness (ASTM D5199/D5994) <br />tensile strength (ASTM D6693) <br />All conformance tests shall be performed in compliance with the project SPECIFICATIONS. <br />The CQA Monitor shall review the test results and shall report any nonconformance to the <br />MANAGER, CERTIFYING ENGINEER and the Geosynthetics Installation CONTRACTOR. <br />6.3. Construction Monitoring And Testing <br />The CQA Monitor shall monitor and test all geosynthetic components of the construction to <br />verify that the construction is in compliance with the project SPECIFICATIONS. The CQA <br />Monitor shall identify inadequate construction methodologies or materials which may <br />adversely impact the performance of the facility being constructed and existing structures. <br />Visual observations throughout the construction process shall be made to ensure that the <br />materials are placed to the lines and grades as shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />The CQA monitor shall review the following submittals by INSTALLER during the project: <br /> verification that a qualified land surveyor has verified all lines and grades; and <br /> subgrade surface acceptance certificates for each area to be covered by the lining <br />system, signed by the INSTALLER. <br />The CQA Monitor shall: <br /> Inspect all geosynthetic materials delivered to site. The CQA Monitor shall document any <br />damage and notify MANAGER; <br /> obtain geosynthetic packaging identification slips for verification and generation of an on‐ <br />site materials inventory; <br /> observe subgrade conditions prior to geosynthetics installation and verify that any <br />deficiencies, as defined in Section 02200 of the SPECIFICATIONS, are corrected; <br /> observe permanent anchoring of geosynthetics to verify that design and project <br />SPECIFICATIONS are met; observe that required overlap distances are met; <br /> monitor and record ambient air temperatures; <br /> verify that no continuous horizontal seams are placed on slopes unless approved by <br /> CERTIFYING ENGINEER; and <br /> observe and document that all soil materials placed on top of the geosynthetics are done <br />in such a manner as to ensure that the geosynthetics are not damaged.
