Newmont‐Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Technical Specification No. 01400‐2.DOCX <br />Squaw Gulch VLF <br />Project No.475.0106.006 <br />August 25, 2016 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />The MANAGER is also responsible for coordinating construction and CQA activities for the <br />project. <br />The MANAGER shall serve as communications coordinator for the project initiating <br />preconstruction and resolution meetings. As communications coordinator, the MANAGER shall <br />serve as a liaison between all parties involved in the project to ensure that ongoing <br />communications are maintained. The MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER shall also be <br />responsible for the resolution of all CQA issues that arise during the installation of the <br />geosynthetics. <br />Duties for this position include the following: <br /> review and approval of design DRAWINGS and project SPECIFICATIONS for all <br />geosynthetic components of the valley leach facility; <br /> preconstruction coordination with the CQA Monitor to ensure that the CQA Monitor <br />has performed similar reviews of the design DRAWINGS and project SPECIFICATIONS to <br />ensure that the CQA Plan can be implemented; <br /> coordination of all construction activities associated with the various CONTRACTOR(S); <br /> scheduling and coordinating construction activities with required CQA testing and activities; <br /> overseeing the construction quality control operations performed by the CONTRACTOR(S); <br /> approve specific corrective measures to be implemented during construction when <br />deviations from the SPECIFICATIONS occur; <br /> ensure that required quality control testing has been performed in accordance with the <br />CQA Plan and to the satisfaction of the CQA Monitor; and <br /> ensure that the CQA personnel are provided with all documentation required in the CQA <br />Plan and project SPECIFICATIONS. <br />2.3. Design Engineer <br />In this CQA Plan the DESIGN ENGINEER and Engineer of Record (EOR) refers specifically to <br />NewFields who has assumed the role of DESIGN ENGINEER after a thorough review of design <br />documents to include, but not limited to, the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. The DESIGN <br />ENGINEER or the CERTIFYING ENGINEER identified in section 2.4 below, is responsible for <br />approving all DRAWING and SPECIFICATION changes, modifications, or clarifications <br />encountered during construction. <br />2.4. Certifying Engineer <br />In this plan, CERTIFYING ENGINEER refers specifically to NewFields. CERTIFYING ENGINEER is <br />the individual or firm responsible for certifying the construction was performed in compliance
