Construction Quality Assurance Monitor <br />The CQA Monitor is the firm or individual responsible for performing the CQA tasks outlined in <br />this CQA Plan. The CQA Monitor is the official CQA representative of CC&V and has the <br />responsibility of overseeing the CQA aspects of the Work. In this CQA Plan the CQA Monitor is <br />associated with the CERTIFYING ENGINEER, and refers specifically to (To Be Determined). The <br />CQA Monitor has the authority to stop any aspect of the Work that is not in compliance with <br />the CQA Plan. Work would then be resumed once corrective action has been approved by <br />MANAGER. The specific responsibilities of the CQA Monitor include: <br /> review the DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, and related guidance documents; <br /> review all CONTRACTOR QC submittals and make appropriate recommendations; <br /> obtain preconstruction and construction samples and perform material evaluation testing <br />as required; <br /> monitor foundation preparation activities as discussed in Section 6.02.01 and material <br />placement as discussed in Section 6.02.02; <br /> assure that testing equipment used and tests performed are conducted according to <br />SPECIFICATIONS and industry standards; <br /> document and report test results to MANAGER; <br /> report any deficiencies to MANAGER that are not corrected to the satisfaction of the CQA <br />Monitor, including design or SPECIFICATION changes; <br /> prepare a Construction Certification Report describing the construction, any deviations from <br />SPECIFICATIONS or DRAWINGS and details, details of all field and laboratory test data, tests <br />results (both laboratory and field), professional certification that construction was <br />completed in accordance with the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. The Construction <br />Certification Report will be signed and sealed by the CERTIFYING ENGINEER registered in <br />the State of Colorado; <br /> monitor the ambient air temperature and fill temperature, as outlined in specification <br />Section 2200; and <br /> maintain an on‐site soils laboratory and perform regular calibration of equipment. <br />2.6. Earthworks Contractor <br />The Earthworks Contractor, also referred to as "CONTRACTOR", is responsible for proper <br />processing, delivery and placement of all components as outlined in the SPECIFICATIONS. <br />3. PART 3: LINES OF COMMUNICATION <br />The CQA Monitor shall be capable of direct communication with MANAGER, DESIGN ENGINEER <br />and CERTIFYING ENGINEER at all times.
