RECLAMATION PLAN
plan with the plan for the overall area. This is necessary because the new reclamation plan for the
entire site modifies some of the topography originally included in the Little Johnson plan so as to
create a smoother and more attractive blending of the Little Johnson area with the rest of the area.
In this"blending" section of this exhibit, any issues regarding impacts on the groundwater
remediation program are addressed, but suffice it to say here that in designing this"blending"of
the topography the remediation program was taken into account.
LITTLE JOHNSON AMENDMENT
Reclamation Plan
(This portion is deleted as it is addressed elsewhere in the overall reclamation plan)
Selected Final hand Use
In the existing permit, a final land use of range-past=e-wildfife was selected to allow
most accurate description of the reclarnation goai, but that is not a final land use. The abovC,
selected combination provides for I-evegetation and fbr the flexibility to change that use as the
operation nears completion.
Many different tmes. fbr this land are being considVII-ed at this time, includin
constraction, aquifer recharge, highway construction, recreation, mid a ntunber of other
revegetation of the land as it is mined. That final land use remains. "Revegetation" would be the
f lowever, nothing has been finafized at this.time. Tfierefbre, using the most flexible end use i05
most appropriate. MmTy of these uses and possible future chmiges are part of the process o
adjusting land uses in 9 - . - ban area.
(This portion is deleted as it is addressed elsewhere in the overall reclamation plan)
Weat of Academy Boulevard
No chmiges in the recimnation plan are needed fbr this area at this time. Virtually the
entire permitted area west of Academy Boulevard is beinr:2,used fbr something. The existing plan
is still being implemented, but changes may be needed in the future as the operation approaches
completion-
Daniels Sand Pit Amendment (2008) Exhibit E Page 4 of 22
