The trash rack on the primary spillway was clear of debris and there were no debris in the emergency <br />spillway. PP-1 was holding water, there was no discharge from the pond. The embankments were stable with no <br />indications of erosion. Pond PP-2 was holding water at the time of inspection. There was no discharge from the <br />pond. The embankments are well vegetated and stable and there were no indications of erosion. <br /> <br />The ditches in the Facilities area were routing water to DP-1. The channels are lined with riprap and were in good <br />condition. The ditches on the Facilities Bench behind the wash plant were functioning as designed to rout water to <br />the riprap lined channels. <br />During the inspection, repairs to the potable water line were being conducted. The repairs were located in the <br />facilities area. Any runoff from this area is captured in the facilities ditches and routed to DP-1. No off site <br />impacts occurred. <br /> <br />HSL-1 at the Halandras Landfill was dry during the inspection. The sump is stable and there were no indications <br />of erosion. <br /> <br />The Rail Loop pond RR-1 was dry. The embankments of RR-1 are well vegetated and there were no indications <br />of erosion. <br /> <br />The Slot Storage ponds SS-1 and SS-2 were inspected. SS-1 and SS-2 did not have any water impounded in them. <br />The embankments of the ponds are well vegetated with no signs of erosion on the embankments. The spillways <br />are clear of debris. <br /> <br />Refuse Area ponds RP-1, RP-2/3, RP-4 and RP-5 collect all of the runoff from the refuse piles. The RP-1 pond <br />(Photo 3) collects the runoff from the reclaimed refuse pile RP-1. The pond was dry at the time of the inspection. <br />The embankments of RP-1 are stable and there were no indications of erosion. The primary and emergency <br />spillways were free of debris. RP-2/3 consists of a main cell with an NPDES discharge outlet. There is a West <br />and East cell that are connected to the Main 2/3 pond through open spillways. The ponds had been recently <br />cleaned and were in good condition. There was a small amount of water impounded in each of the cells of the 2/3 <br />pond. There was no discharge from the RP-2/3 primary spillway. The spillways from the West and East cells <br />leading into the Main cell of the 2/3 pond were clear of debris. The embankments of RP-2/3 are well vegetated <br />and stable. There were no indications of erosion. The primary spillway is a riser pipe with a trash rack over it. <br />The trash rack was in good condition. The emergency spillway was clear of debris. The RP-4 pond was holding a <br />small amount of water in it. There was no discharge from the primary spillway. The embankments were in good <br />condition. There were no indications of erosion. The bottom of RP-5 was damp with no water impounded in it. <br />The spillways of RP-5 were clear of debris. The embankments are well vegetated and stable. There were no signs <br />of erosion. <br /> <br />The perimeter ditches of refuse piles RP-2/3/4 and 5a collect all of the runoff from the piles and routs it to the <br />corresponding refuse pile ponds. The ditches were clear of debris and functioning as designed. <br /> <br />All cells of the B-Seam Dewatering System were impounding water. The Last Chance Pond was full and will
