Shallow rill in the upper, eastern reclaimed bench of the RDA requires filling in with brush as <br />agreed during the field evaluation. <br /> <br />AUGUST 2016 MAINTENANCE ITEMS <br />2. Culvert 81 needs to be cleaned out. <br />3. The gully forming near the belt portal, should be addressed as soon as possible. <br />4. The discharge channel at Pond 8 requires seeding and hydromulching while precipitation events <br />can support germination and growth. <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 2016 MAINTENANCE ITEMS <br />The maintenance items identified in September are listed below, numbered and in bold. A total <br />of 16 items were noted during the inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02 <br />o Disturbed area boundary markers (white stakes) observed were intact and appeared properly <br />placed at both the Jansen loadout and the New Elk site. <br /> <br />o The mine site identification signs at the entrance to each site <br />appeared intact, displaying all required information: mine name, <br />operator name, address, phone number and DRMS permit number <br />and contact information. <br />o Topsoil stockpile #2, soil storage area west of Pond 001A and <br />soil pile at west end of the permit exhibited appropriate signage. <br />o The Purgatoire flows through the permit area. Stream buffer <br />signs were visible in numerous places and on both banks of the <br />stream. Markers appeared, for the most part in good repair and <br />adequately placed with the exception of: <br />5.
