This culvert will nee d to be repaired or replaced.
o This item is outstanding.
 Non-coal waste was observed on the 10RT Pad area that needs to be disposed of in the approved disposal
area in accordance with Rule 4.11.4.
o This issue has been addressed.
 The 7 North Escape Shaft (Barricade Chamber) was observed. One maintenance items were noted: On the
northwest corner of the pad water is pooling and has created a hole in the embankment of the pad and
water is discharging at point along the slope causing some erosion. Also, at the southeast c orner of the
pad water is flowing off of the pad and causing some minor rilling. In accordance with Rule 4.04, the hole
in the northwest corner of the pad needs to be repaired and TC will need to install some additional
sediment control devices on the southeast corner of the pad. Also, please conduct repair and stabilization
activities on the rills observed.
o The hole in the embankment has been repaired and TC had cut a small opening lower on the pad
to encourage positive drainage at this location. Prior to this inspection, TC had graded out the rills
observed during the previous inspection and erosion control waddles have been installed where
the repairs occurred. TC intends to seed this area in the fall.

Figure 9. Repairs to R ills at Barricade Chamber
 A new gully has formed on the reclaimed slope above the Fish Creek Tipple pond. The site should be
repaired and stabilized.
o The gully has been repaired but small rills were observed. This issue was discussed with Brian
Watterson and it was agreed that waddles or other stabilization devices could be installed at this
location to help limit further erosion.
 There is a culvert on the northwest side of the Fish Creek Tipple reclaimed area that appears to have been
partially crushed by equipment doing maintenance on the adjacent rail lin e.
