Maintenance is still required at Pond F.
 Please cleanout the ditch south of the rail line east of the train loadout and clean out the sediment traps and
rock check dams as depicted on Exhibit 49DD -F1 in the permit.
o This item was addressed, however during the Division’s July, 2016 inspection it appeared that
recent precipitation had caused some damage to the rock check dams that needed to be repaired.
At the time of this inspection a train was actively being loaded at the train loadout and this area
was inaccessible and not visible. This item will be evaluated during the Division’s next
inspection.
 The culvert under the haul road to the old stoker Coal Storage and Loadout area needs to be cleaned out.
Also Ditch E-1 that drains to Pond E is partially filled with sediment and cattails and needs to be cleaned
out. The ditch and culvert must be maintained to have adequate drainage in accordance with Rule
4.03.1(4).
o This item remains outstanding.
 A topsoil stockpile is located adjacent to the BOB coal stockpile on the south east side. Coal moving
activities near the topsoil stockpile has encroached on the berm surrounding the topsoil stockpile on the
north side of the topsoil pile. TC must re-establish this berm and the Division requests that another type of
barrier or warning signs be placed in this area to protect the topsoil stockpile from disturbance. Brian
Watterson and I discussed placing several buffer zone and warning signs between the topsoil stockpile and
the coal stockpile.
o TC has reconstructed a small ditch at the base of the topsoil pile and additional topsoil signs have
been placed at the base of the pile. After some discussion with Brian Watterson we agreed that a
larger berm should be placed around the topsoil stockpile on the BOB pile side and additional
New
Culverts
Needed
Debris
removal
