Decommissioned Spillway at Pond 004. <br /> <br />The spoil springs above Pond 004 were discharging at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />The PECOCO pond was holding water and discharging. The embankment was vegetated and stable and the <br />primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br /> <br />The Upper Sump was holding water and discharging. The embankment was vegetated and stable and the primary <br />and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br /> <br />The Division observed surface water monitoring site SSLG5, the upstream surface water monitoring site for Little <br />Grassy Creek. A small tributary that appears to be fed in part by spoil springs SSSPG3 and 4 discharges into Little <br />Grassy creek below the SSLG5 monitoring point. <br /> <br />The lower sump was holding water and discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated and the primary <br />and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br /> <br />Pond 002 was discharging. <br /> <br />The SIIPM-11 drainage was observed and no problems were noted. <br /> <br />The SIIPM-20 drainage was walked and no problems were noted. <br /> <br />The ditches and culverts around the main facility area were observed. Overall, the ditches and culverts were clear <br />and functional with any maintenance items noted below: <br /> <br />-The FA-D5 and FA-D6 drainages are discussed in the “Other” section of the report.
