June 22, 2016 C-1982-057/Seneca II-W Mine JHB <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />Pond 017 was discharging clear effluent. , measuring 0.2 on staff gauge. Gauge was dirty and should be wiped <br />off. NO concerns were identified with the pond embankment <br /> <br />Pond 005 was discharging. Thunderstorm had moved in when the inspection reached Pond 005 so flume was not <br />inspected. No concerns were noted with the pond or embankment. <br /> <br />Stock tank T-18 was holding water. The inspector did not identify if the Sandhill crane was still nesting on one of <br />the islands. <br /> <br />Stock Tank T-20 was not holding water but was well vegetated with grasses. <br /> <br />Drainages: <br />PM1-A and PM 1-B were in good repair with no side cutting or blow outs. <br />LU-6 remains well vegetated and in good condition. <br />PM-2A, PM-2B, PM-2D, PM-2E and PM-2C were in good condition. <br />No concerns were identified with drainage PM-3. <br />PM-4, PM-4A, PM-4B, PM-4C and PM-4D have all held up well. <br />No concerns were identified in 006-Gulch and 006-E drainage. <br />005-Gulch and 005-E1 had held up well through the winter and subsequent snowmelt. No maintenance <br />requirements were identified with these drainages. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6): <br /> The road ditch on the south side of G access road is beginning to downcut just east of the gate to the 005 <br />drainage area. Rock check dams or brush packing or other best management practices should be implemented to <br />retard further downcutting. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> SP, LLC indicated that they plan to conduct vegetation sampling this summer, likely towards the end of <br />July, with the intent to submit bond release applications. The Division request that SP, LLC inform the Division <br />of timing of the sampling and location of Bond Release Blocks. The Division prefers to observe the condition of <br />the reclamation at the time of sampling, assure the Bond Release Blocks are eligible and appropriate for the <br />planned bond releases, and resolve concerns prior to sampling. Please notify the Division of timing of sampling as <br />soon as SP, LLC knows of the specific dates. <br /> <br />No livestock were on the property at the time of inspection. Livestock need to be kept off the areas planned for <br />vegetation sampling, including reclaimed and reference areas until after vegetation sampling has occurred,. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing:
