Adequacy Review 2A (Supplemental Response) Roof, Floor, Interburden and Coal Sampling: <br />Proposed Sampling Procedures <br />DRMS Oct 2015 (new): This document was reviewed as per the following rules that are or may be <br />pertinent to this issue: <br />0 1.04 Definitions: (1 a), (2), (13 9) and (140) <br />0 2.04.6 (3)(a) Geology Description Underground Mining (iii)(C)&(D); (iv)(D); and(v)(B) <br />0 4.05.1(4) Hydrologic Balance — General: (b)(vii) and (c)(iii) <br />0 4.05.8 Hydrologic Balance — Acid -Forming and Toxic -Forming Spoil <br />0 4.05.11 Ground Water Protection <br />0 4.14.1 Backfilling and Grading — General: (2)(f)(iv) <br />0 4.14.3 Backfilling and Grading - Covering Coal and Acid and Toxic -Forming Materials <br />DRMS and GCC are working on a plan for additional analysis of chemical constituents making up <br />potential waste from the King II mine slated for deposit in the West Waste Bank, (Roof, Floor and <br />Interburden sampling plan). The analyte list for sampling has been expanded from the DRMS Guidance <br />Document to include Cadmium, Copper, Mercury, Lead and other constituents. DRMS reviewed <br />Appendix 4(8), Additional Samplin of King I Refuse Pile, and King II Roof, Coal and Floor. <br />Adequacy questions follow below. <br />DRMS April 2016 (New): <br />29. Please incorporate a summary of leachate sampling methods and analysis into the sections of the <br />permit pertinent to Rules 2.05.2, 2.05.6(3), 4.05(4), 4.05.8 4.05.1land rule 4.14 and make <br />reference to Appendix 4(8) in each permit section and submit revised pages for these permit <br />sections. <br />30. Also, as sampling results become available please incorporate a summary of the results in <br />permit section 2.05.6 as well as the Probable Hydrologic Consequences section of the permit. <br />31. Should results of leachate analysis indicate the presence of acid forming and or toxic forming <br />material please be prepared to provide handling and storage protocol and designs for this <br />material. <br />32. Should results of leachate analysis indicate the presence of acid forming and or toxic forming <br />material please be prepared to provide an associated reclamation plan for these structures. <br />Prepared by: R.
