SPECIFICATION NUMBER: <br /> Climax Molybdenum CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION 03 30 00 SPE <br /> A Freeport-McMoRan Company TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION PROJECT NAME: <br /> CAVR Shaft Closure Project <br /> throughout the batch. This testing shall be in accordance with the <br /> requirements of ASTM C94, Annex Al, Concrete Uniformity <br /> Requirements. Mixers not meeting the requirements of ASTM C94, Annex <br /> Al shall not be used until the condition causing the non-uniformity has been <br /> corrected and the mixer re-tested. <br /> H. Mixing and Delivery <br /> 1. Scheduling: The Contractor alone shall be responsible for scheduling the <br /> class of concrete needed, slump and additives required, as well as the start, <br /> duration and rate of concrete deliveries necessary to meet the Contractor's <br /> construction needs. <br /> 2. Cold-Weather Conditions: Concrete mixed and delivered when the mean <br /> ambient temperature is 40°F or less, shall be mixed and delivered in <br /> accordance with ACI 306 and Section 302.R of this Specification. <br /> 3. Hot-Weather Conditions: Concrete mixed and delivered when the mean <br /> ambient temperature (as defined in ACI 301, Section 5.3.2.1.c.) would be <br /> detrimental to concrete, shall be mixed and delivered in accordance with <br /> ACI 305 and Section 3.02.S of this Specification. <br /> 4. Time Limit Between Mixing and Placement: Discharge and placement of <br /> each load of concrete shall be complete within 45 minutes after addition of <br /> water to the mix when hot weather conditions prevail. At other times, the <br /> time limit shall be 90 minutes. <br /> 5. Delivery Tickets: Each load of concrete shall be accompanied by a delivery <br /> ticket, in triplicate, showing, as a minimum, the information prescribed by <br /> Paragraph 13.1 of ASTM C94. After each load of concrete has been <br /> discharged or the truck has been released, 1 copy of each delivery ticket <br /> shall be grouped with other delivery tickets for that pour and submitted to <br /> the Engineer or Owner. <br /> 6. Rejection of Concrete: Deliveries of concrete which have excessive slump, <br /> or have commenced its initial set before or during discharge,or is otherwise <br /> detectable as not meeting specification requirements, shall be rejected by <br /> the Contractor and shall not be placed in the work. <br /> 3.02 INSTALLATION <br /> A.
