January 11, 2016 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine JLE <br />Pond E was snow and ice covered. The pond did not appear to be discharging. The primary and emergency <br />spillway was snow covered. <br />Pond D did not appear to be flowing. The embankment was snow covered. The surface of the pond was snow and <br />ice covered. <br />Pond C was snow covered and was not discharging. The embankment was snow covered but appeared stable. <br />Pond B did not appear to be discharging. The embankments of the cells of the pond was snow covered but <br />appeared stable. <br />The culvert under Access Road A to the CRDA pile was not visible under the snow and cement barrier above the <br />culvert had been knocked into the drainage. <br />The wastewater treatment ponds were snow and ice covered. The embankments appeared stable. <br />Pond F was holding water but was not discharging. The pond was snow and ice covered. <br />Pond G was not discharging. The pond was snow and ice covered. No problems were noted. <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />Previous Division inspection reports noted the maintenance items listed below. The following is an update on the <br />current status of these items: <br />• The RDA -Id ditch, a large section of HDPE pipe and wood was observed in the ditch and needs to be <br />removed. <br />o This item remains outstanding and given the large amount of snow in the area, this refuse is <br />covered and would be difficult to locate. Given this, this item will need to be addressed when the <br />snow conditions allow. <br />• WC013 corehole has been sealed and needs to be marked with a marker. <br />o This item remains outstanding and will need to be addressed. <br />• The head -cut in the RDA -lb drainage needs to be repaired and stabilized. <br />o This item remains outstanding and will need to be addressed when the snow conditions allow. <br />• A new gully has formed on the reclaimed slope above the Fish Creek Tipple pond. The site should be <br />repaired and stabilized. <br />o The Fish Creek Tipple was inaccessible at the time of the inspection. However, according to Mr. <br />Watterson, TC was not able to address this issue before the snow conditions made it unfeasible. <br />This item will need to be addressed when the conditions allow. <br />• The Division has not received proof of compliance (abandonment reports) for the following coreholes: <br />WC -026E, WC -026F, WC -026G, WC -027, WC -029, WC -2613, WC -028 and WC -006. In accordance <br />with Rule 4.07.3(3) TC must submit proof of compliance reports within 60 days after abandoning the drill <br />hole. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />
