RECLAMATION PLAN
Exhibit E
1. The proposed post -mining pit is to replace pit area with topsoil, then it is to be used as
pastureland. The areas around this gravel sit is pastureland.
2. Any cost estimate for final reclamation has not been prepared since this pit is operated by a
county government. Estimated timelines are:
1) Begin earthwork
2) Application of topsoil
3) Date of seeding
January, 2016
January, 2036
June, 2036
3. We will remove all gravel stock piles. Any stockpiled overburden will be spread over the mined
area. The overburden will be taken down to the bottom of the mined area and then worked so
that a 3:1 slope is established on the sidewalls.
4. The stockpiled topsoil will be spread evenly over the prepared area. All topsoil will be replaced
before seeding of the pit occurs. The amount of topsoil available varies depending upon the soil
type originally covering the mined area.
5. We will plant a cover crop and grass seed as recommended by NRCS.
6. The Southern part of the pit will be mined in early 2016. It is to be mined at no more than 3 acres
per usage. We will work our way out to the South as needed before completion in 15-20 years.
