Reclamation of the South Pit Drill Pad involved the following tasks undertaken between <br />May and August 2006: <br />1) Loaded and hauled needed fill from the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area. This <br />task was accomplished with tracked excavator and articulated dump truck team. <br />2) Regraded and finish graded the area with a bulldozer. <br />3) Loaded and hauled topsoil from Topsoil Stockpile #2, covering the area with eight to <br />twelve inches of topsoil. <br />4) Regraded and spread the topsoil. <br />5) Seeded and mulched the South Pit Drill Pad area as described in the revegetation plan. <br />Equipment Area <br />The Equipment Area provided a storage area for parts and equipment. Approximately <br />1.6 acres were disturbed. <br />Reclamation of the Equipment Area involved the following tasks undertaken between <br />May and August 2006: <br />1) Removed equipment from the area. Disposed of trash and debris at approved landfill. <br />2) Collected coal materials and buried them under a minimum of four feet of non- <br />combustible, non-toxic cover. <br />3)Regradedfill from the adjacent Ewing Mesa #1 stockpile. This task was accomplished <br />with tracked excavator and articulated dump truck team. <br />4) Regraded and finish graded the area with a motor grader. <br />5)Loaded and hauled topsoil from Topsoil Stockpile #7, covering the area with eight to <br />twelve inches of topsoil. <br />4) Regraded and spread the topsoil. <br />5) Seeded and mulched the Equipment Area and disturbed area of Topsoil Stockpile #7as <br />described in the revegetation plan. <br />Reconstruction of Carbon Junction Canyon <br />The restoration of the Carbon Junction drainage waspart of the final reclamation plan <br />and has been completed at this time. The work involveda diversion of 1962 feet that was <br />Abridged Permit Document 5-10 Permit Renewal RN04 4/2014 <br />
