Creek alluvium, 008 -AT -1, was identified as being destroyed
in November of 2012. As such, no data has been collected
for the Trout Creek alluvium since April of 2012. A
determination of compliance since April 2012 cannot be
made due to a failure to collect and submit the required data.
Site 008 -AT -1 was re-established in the summer of 2014 and
monthly water monitoring has been ongoing since the re-
establishment of the well. However, data for the 4' quarter
of 2014 was not submitted. TC will need to submit this data.
According to TC, no anomalous water quality impacts
attributable to mining were evident in data collected from the
Wadge overburden wells during 2014, as compared to
historical results.
Each surface water monitoring site was evaluated to
determine if they were sampled in accordance with the
approved plan contained in Exhibit 14. Several issues are
noted below; TCC will need to address any item where a
specific monitoring requirement was not met. Please
either submit the data or explain why the data was not
collected.
Foidel Creek
-Site 8:
11. Sampling frequency
. Water level was not measured March to July as
at surface water sites,
Exhibit 14 of CDRMS
required.
Springs and Mine
mining permit C-82-056
. Flow was not reported in April and once in July as
Discharge.
required.
-Site 14:
• Water Level was not measured in March as is
required.
-Site 900:
• Water level was not measured in 2014 as required.
• Flow was not reported for April, weekly in August
and during the first two weeks in September as
required. According to the report, upstream beaver
dams interfered with the flow measurements at this
site.
