Twentymile Coal, LLC.
Page 2
September 30, 2015
a. TC's response: The referenced pages have been reviewed and revised to incorporate the
currently approved permit text. Copies of the revised pages are provided with these
responses for replacement in the PAP.
b. Division's response: Revised pages 2.05-17.2, 17.3, 17.4 and 17.5 were submitted.
Revised page 17.2 does not follow with the currently approved revised page 17.1. Text
from the following sections would be deleted 2011-2012 WMD Exploration Program
and 2012 WMD Exploration Program if these the proposed revised pages were
approved. Please review the currently approved section of the permit (see the DRMS
imaged document system) and revise this section as appropriate to ensure the text
follows.
Revised page 2.04-9.1 indicates Twentymile Coal, LLC. (TC) intends to drill 36 potential
coreholes. Revised page 2.05-17.3 indicates TC intends to drill up to 46 coreholes. Based on the
Division's review of the previous revisions regarding the Wolf Creek Reserve Coal Corehole
project, with the approval of MR287, TC will have approval to drill 46 coreholes. Please clarify
the discrepancy between the two revised pages.
a. TC's Response: The number representing the total number of coreholes under the
referenced MR's (page 2.04-9.1) had not been updated to include the 10
coreholes under MR14-280. For reference, the following summarizes the total
number of permitted coreholes for the WCR to date:
Revision'
Number of Coreholes
MR13-269
4
MR13-272
6
MR 14-275
4
MR 14-276
12
MR14-278
2
MR14-280
10
MR15-287
8
Pages 2.04-9.1 and 2.05-17.3 have been revised for consistency, and copies of the
revised pages are provided with these responses for replacement in the PAP.
b. Division's Response: Item resolved.
4. The Division has reviewed the Cultural Resource Survey submitted to the Division on August
21, 2015 by Matcalf Archaeology. The survey covered the proposed drill hole WC -030 area.
However, it did not cover the three strips of land proposed as exploration zones depicted on
Figure EX52-F7 submitted with the application. Based on our telephone conversation yesterday
and an e-mail you sent to me depicting the land that has been surveyed for cultural resources, it
appears this area has been surveyed. However, the Division cannot locate the results of a survey
