September 21, 2015 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine JLE <br />and the seep adjacent to the toe of the underdrain. The top of bench 1 and the face of bench 1 is stable and <br />vegetation has begun to establish on these areas. Yellow -sweet clover is the primary species that has established <br />and a perennial grass understory has begun to establish. <br />Maintenance item: <br />• The newly stripped topsoil adjacent to the 2nd bench of the RDA will need to be shaped in a more stable <br />configuration and marked with a topsoil identification marker. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />TC had been conducting weed control spraying for whitetop this summer. Many of the large whitetop patches <br />appeared to have been sprayed and the plants were dead. According to Mr. Nettleton, weed control spraying for <br />thistle is planned in the future. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />The Fish Creek Tipple reclaimed area was observed. Grass has begun establish throughout the reclaimed area and <br />overall the area appears stable and TC has been conducting weed control. One new maintenance item was noted: <br />• A new gully has formed on the reclaimed slope above the Fish Creek Tipple pond. The site should be <br />repaired and stabilized. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The road to the 18RT borehole has been graded and maintained. Along the road a side ditch has been created and <br />rock check dams have been installed as well as HDPE straw waddles. TC has cleaned out behind many of these <br />structures to help prevent erosion. Several rock check dams and waddles have sediment built up behind them and <br />should also be cleaned out in the future. The 18RT borehole pad is vegetated and stable and no problems were <br />noted. <br />The TORT borehole site was observed. The area appeared stable and the topsoil stockpiles were marked. <br />The NW Mains ventilation shaft was observed. The diversion ditch was clear and functional and the topsoil <br />stockpile was marked and stable. <br />During the inspection TC has a contractor on-site installing the 5MN pipeline. HDPE pipe has been installed and <br />laid from the 5MN borehole to where the pipe will T near the 6MN access road on the northeast side of the 6MN <br />reservoir and from there it has been installed west to near where it will end above the upper pond and wetlands. <br />See Figure EX49CC - F2 in the permit for details. The installed pipe has been buried and topsoil has been <br />replaced on the corridor.
