17. The Exhibit F Reclamation Plan Map depicts the proposed post -mining topography within the permit
boundary. The Division believes the northwest and southeast portions of the depicted post -mining topography
do not connect to existing topography properly. Please update this map to show the current topography that
will remain unchanged which lies outside of the permit boundary and adjust any post -mining topography, as
necessary.
See the revised topography map attached.
18. On the Exhibit F Reclamation Plan Map, the Operator states that "Slope to be furrowed approx. every 50' to
toe for erosion control"; please further explain this within the Exhibit E Reclamation Plan.
See the attached sheet with revised language for reclamation.
19. The Operator states the gravel operation will be dry, not intercepting groundwater. Please note the mining
operation must stay a minimum of two (2) feet above the groundwater elevation to be considered a "dry"
operation.
We recognize that mining must stay a minimum of two (2) feet above groundwater elevation.
20. In accordance with Rule 6.4.10(1)(a), please provide quantitative estimates of cover and height for the
vegetation described in Exhibit J of the application.
Vegetative ground cover on areas that are undisturbed is estimated to be 6040%. Heights range from
2" up to a foot high, depending on species.
21. As proposed, the Operator requests to have the site's reclamation cost estimate only to be calculated for Tract
1, the original 110c permit boundary. Please note that the Division observed approximately 5.89 acres had
been disturbed outside of this boundary during the October 6, 2014 inspection. All current disturbances will
need to be bonded for. Please propose to be approved for all the tracts currently affected, or revise the current
shapetsize of Tract 1 to encompass (at a minimum) the current disturbance; if the later is chosen, the Mining
Plan, Mine Plan Map, and Reclamation costs will need to updated and resubmitted.
The size and shape of Tract 1 has been revised to encompass the originally identified disturbance
outside the original boundaries. See attached revisions to the Mining Plan and Mine Plan Map. The
originally submitted cost estimate for the application covered the entire 32 acres.
