Scope of Work
5 MN Borehole to 6 MN Pond
Buried Dewatering Line
07/28/15
3. Award contract
Early June 2015
4. Start construction of HDPE line, pending permit approval Mid -Late June 2015
5. Complete burial of HDPE line to the specified location
08/28/2015
TC reserves the right for inspection of all work according to the following specifications and scope of
work provided within this document. All scope of work questions shall be directed to Jon Bobbera at
the contact information provided above.
A detailed construction schedule shall be submitted with the contractor's proposal that accurately
defines the contractor's plan of construction and the required timing to complete the project. The
contractor shall identify any potential problems that may interfere with the contractor's ability to
mobilize immediately after receiving the notice from Twentymile that the site is ready for
mobilization.
Detailed Scope of Work
The scope of work to be completed by the contractor includes:
Construction of Buried HDPE Line and Components
As indicated in the attached Figure 1, the approximate buried pipe line assembly length is 4,720 feet.
TC will supply all HDPE pipe materials, including 4,720 of 10" HDPE pipe, one 10" check valve, four
10" gate valves, two 10" "T"s, one end cap, and one pressure gauge.
The contractor shall be responsible for providing an HDPE fusing machine and fusing the 10" line
lengths. The 10" HDPE pipe lengths shall be delivered to TC in 40' lengths, therefore resulting in
approximately 50 fused joints for the entire pipeline.
The excavated burial ditch shall be a minimum of 5' deep to get below frost depth. Ditch walls shall
be tapered, benched or supported by a barrier as needed to prevent ditch walls from caving in on
persons while in the ditch.
Prior to excavation of any segment of the ditch, topsoil shall be stored to one side of the excavation.
Materials from the remainder of the excavation shall be placed on the opposite side of the ditch to
prevent contamination of the topsoil. After placement of the fused HDPE pipe, back filling, and
grading of the top of the ditch, the topsoil shall be evenly replaced over the excavation.
Page 3
