Estimated Mining Operation Timetable
Due to the uncertainty of the market driven construction materials being extracted, a traditional mining
timetable does not apply.
Approximately two (2) years per open mining area and reclamation phases before opening the next
mining phase. Each parcel entering the mining phase has an average area of 1 acre (see Exhibit F.2 —
Phasing Map for Future Permitting and Reclamation).
Mining Operation Blasting Plan
At the present time, the owner/operator does not have an active license to blast. However, they do
intend to blast in the future and will acquire the appropriate licenses at that time.
As an alternative to blasting, the owner has indicated they will be using a product called Dexspan.
Dexspan is an expansive demolition grout used to break rock. It is a powder that is mixed with water and
poured into strategically located drill holes. This method has several advantages which include: a silent
cracking process, a much more safe process, no vibration and no dust.
R:\2000\2089.00 Sprague Quarry\DOCUMENTS\PERMITS\2015 Mining Permit\For Permit Package Submittal\Exhibits\Exhibit D - Mining Plan
Narrative.docx
