Maps F -I and F-2 show the site after full reclamation. Also, post -mine land use areas are shown. It is
too premature to show any more detail than that shown for the post -mining land use on the permit area,
however, areas designated for each of the post -mining land uses, commercial, open space/wildlife habitat
and residential are shown. The cross section lines A and B are used to show the original, mining, and
final topography on Map C=-3. Note that the original topography is estimated.
Revegetation details are given at the end of this Exhibit.
3.0 Gravel Pit Reclamation
When gravel mining moves from the old 110 area to the area north of the gold plant, the old 110 area
will be reclaimed. This will be done with dozers grading the surface to slopes no steeper than 3H:IV, as
shown on Map F. This will be done within 2 years of the approval of the 2003 amendment, since the
bulk of the gravel mine reserves exist north of the gold plant area. Once the 110 area is graded, it will
be covered with fines from the operation and/or Stockpiles #1 or
#4. Since the 110 area is approximately 11.8 acres, the amount of fines needed to cover the area with 4.5
inches thickness is 7139 cy. The topsoil will be spread and graded with a small dozer (D5 size) to ensure
that no equipment compaction occurs.
Although a large portion of the post -mine site will be used for residential use, all areas (other than roads
or ponds) will be covered with substitute fines or topsoil to a depth of 4.5" after final grading.
There is a pre -law highwall along the northeast edge of the permit area from the gravel mine camp area
to the south a distance of approximately 1000 feet. The highwall ranges from 20 feet high to 40 feet high
and is nearly vertical. No topsoil was ever salvaged from this activity. The highwall is structurally stable
but is not desirable for the post -mining land use. The intent is to reclaim the highwall by a combination
of backfilling and cutting from above the highwall. Certain areas are very close to the property boundary
and must utilize backfilling. Since these areas are pre -law, no commitment can be made to reclaim these
areas without ongoing mining providing the funds and material to do the work. For this reason, the
smoothing of these highwalls is not shown on Maps F 1 or F2, however, through ongoing mining, the
operator plans to do the work. It is better for the landowner's property value to have the highwalls
Alma Place Mine 01/15 47
