Of the 28.7 disturbed acres in the north mine area, 2.8 acres will remain as ponds and 2.8 acres will
remain as roads, therefore, only 23.1 acres will require the substitute fines. Using a 4.5" average
thickness, this requires 13,976 cy. This volume will have been stockpiled at either of the two
locations (Piles #1 and #2) and is also the volume that will be required to be spread at the end of the
mine life.
Therefore, at the end of the mine life, final grading will be needed on 23.1 acres, followed by topsoil
(substitute fines) replacement and revegetation on the same areas. All portable buildings and tanks will
be removed except for the shop/office building constructed near the pit entrance. This building and
associated parking area will remain for commercial use after reclamation.
