a layer of 12 -inch minus rock, Drain Cover Fill and geofabric to complete the modified
drainage area into the tertiary underdrain.
A technical memo will be generated to address deviation of design with respect to the
tertiary underdrain.
Leak Detection:
A Cat mini -excavator prepared approximately 200 LF of leak detection trench. The leak detection
was completed per project plans and specifications between stations FM15+00 and FM17+00.
Miscellaneous:
Amec personnel continued LVSCS pump monitoring and observation.
B) Underground Workings:
UG #6050: Completed two layers of geogrid installation. Completed placement and compaction
of two 6 -inch lifts of Select Structural Fill. Remediated.
UG #6004: Step 2: Completed three layer geogrid installation. Completed placement of the three
6 -inch lifts of Select Structural Fill. Cat excavators prepared subgrade for Step 3 geogrid.
Further remediation required.
UG #6455: Continued drilling operations, 1,150LF. Further remediation required.
UG #6538: Production drilling and a production blast occurred during this reporting period.
Further remediation required.
UG #6687: A Cat 330 excavator excavated to competent rock (+/-20'). Backfilled and
compacted per project specifications. Remediated.
UG #6468: A Cat 330 excavator coned working for concrete plug. Further remediation required
C) Geomembrane:
Geomembrane installation within the PSSA continued this week performing deployment,
seaming, repair, and QA/QC activities. Geomembrane installation was performed at the ADR
pad and PSSA northwest slope. Approximately 146,644 square feet of 80mil LLDPE
geomembrane was deployed. Soil Liner Fill was inspected and approved by AMEC, Ames and
ECA representatives prior to geomembrane deployment. Approximately 7,568 linear feet of seam
was fusion welded during deployment using one or two fusion welding machines for each day of
deployment. No extrusion welding was performed during this reporting period. Destructive and
non-destructive testing was completed per technical specifications.
Ames continuously excavated anchor trench ahead of geomembrane installation. After
geomembrane testing was completed, the anchor trench above finished panels was backfilled
and compacted per project specifications.

II) Storm Water Management
Best Management Practices (BMPs) continued to be performed to direct storm water into the Phase 1
diversion channel and sedimentation pond.
