A Cat skidsteer and a Cat smooth
drum roller finished and compacted SLF surface between C0+00 and C2+00.
A Cat dozer replaced Soil Liner Fill in the area above B16+00 where the geomembrane was
removed and the slope was reconditioned. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the fill area. All
testing was completed per project specifications before the area was approved for geomembrane.
Cat dozers placed SLF between stations A10+00 to A14+00 and C6+00 to C14+00 and E4+00
and E8+00 and DD6+00 to DD12+00.
All SLF material was placed and compacted per project plans and specifications.
Nuclear Density tests, N71 — N90, were completed with passing results. Depth checks, D50 —
D60, were completed with passing results.
See attached figure for approved SLF.
Drain Cover Fill:
Cat 740 haul trucks transported DCF from the stockpile to Phase 1. Low ground pressure Cat
dozers placed DCF on approved geomembrane in Phase 1.
See attached figure for approved DCF.
Underdrain System:
Primary Underdrain: Complete.
Secondary Underdrain: None.
Tertiary Underdrain: A Cat excavator and a Cat hammer continued excavating trench
for the tertiary underdrains between stations A17+00 and A21+00. Construction of the
tertiary underdrain adhered to project plans and specifications. Approximately 500 LF of
tertiary underdrain was completed.
A Cat 330 excavator removed unsuitable material from two sections of the slope above
station A15+00 and A15+50. The slope above A15+00 was replaced with a layer of 12 -
inch minus rock and topped with Drain Cover Fill and geofabric to allow underground
springs to freely flow into the secondary underdrain. Excavation of the slope above
A15+50 and construction of the modified drainage area will continue.
