The permit adequately addresses a general plan for treatment facilities. The <br />following questions come up regarding more detailed design plans: <br />e Question: <br />There are no as built drawings for the ponds listed below, making it difficult to assess <br />portions b, c and d of this rule. Please either provide as builts that indicate elevations for <br />all spillways, including both the primary and emergency spillways where applicable for the <br />ponds listed below, or indicate where these detailed designs are located in the permit. <br />East Pyeatt #3 Johnson #6, #711, #811, #911, #1011 <br />Middle Pyeatt #1, #2, #3 No Name #2, #4 and #511 <br />Ute <br />b. Sediment pond design conformity with Rules 4.05.6 and 4.05.9 <br />The permit adequately addresses sediment pond design and general requirements <br />for some ponds in permit section 4.8.2 and Appendix Q Vol. VII -B section XVI as <br />per Rule 4.05.6 and includes: <br />Sediment Pond construction, cross sections and modeled results for both the 25 <br />year and 10 year 24 hour events. Plan view and crossections are available for <br />some ponds only. <br />♦ Question: Please provide, plan and crossections views and as builts for all active <br />sediment ponds. <br />For adequacy related to rule 4.05.9 please see detailed analysis of that rule on page <br />8 of this document. <br />Questions regarding Rule: 2.05.3 (4) (c) <br />c. Permanent and temporary impoundments conformity with Rule 4.05.9 <br />1. I was unable to locate information on temporary impoundments and evaluate their <br />conformity with rule 4.05.9. Please indicate where in the permit the following <br />bulleted information resides information resides, or add it to the permit. <br />♦ Barriers to control piping along conduits <br />♦ Emergency spillway grades <br />♦ Design parameters of emergency spillway of the 10 year 24 h our precipitation <br />event (Rule 4.05.9 (b) <br />d. Diversion design conformity with rules 4.05.3 and 4.05.4 (Stream <br />channel diversions and reconstructions) <br />Section 4.8.2 of the permit discusses diversion ditch and sediment pond design <br />criteria. Appendix P details the drainage reconstruction plan. Section 4.8.1.2 <br />discusses surface drainage (see TR -25) which altered design criteria for all <br />diversions and culverts.
