12. At present I am withdrawing plans for a bridge or driveway(till consulting with an engineer) <br />will continue using foot path for the present. (Photo 45) <br />13. Four propane 20# tanks are kept on property to fuel 7500 watt generator and LP forced air <br />heater. (Photo #6) <br />14. All surface tailings have been removed or existing are of large aggregate. As no milling was <br />performed on site tailings are a result of the construction of the mine. Reclamation was <br />performed in 1998 removed all tailings in front of Portal #1 and alongside the road, then <br />replanted with a variety of flora. (Photo 47) <br />15. The process of "sounding" is performed by using a 5 foot long solid steel bar and striking <br />mine wall to detect loose rock, a hollow sound return is an indicator of a cavity existing behind <br />the rock face. After detecting loose rock a pry bar is used to bring it down and it is then collected <br />and removed. <br />16. Current status of The Queen Elizabeth Mine <br />The lower portal is 400 feet of tunnel that is dry and well ventilated. There are no collapses and <br />the mine floor is clear. <br />
