protected with silt fence around the downhill side. Rock berms are in place along <br />the easterly boundary of the site to catch the runoff prior to it leaving the site. <br />33. As required by Rule 6.4.7(3), provide an estimate of the project water <br />requirements for the operation, including for dust control. In addition, specify the <br />source of the water. <br />RESPONSE: There is no water on site. <br />34. The stormwater management plan states that stormwater will report to roadside <br />ditches along County Road 27 and County Road 32C. Please describe where water <br />on the west side of the ridge will report to. <br />RESPONSE: The runoff will go to the rock berms along the east boundary of the <br />site prior to releasing into the roadside ditch along the west side of CR 32C. No <br />runoff will run towards CR 27. <br />35. The Applicant has stated that stormwater is controlled through rock berms and <br />diversion dikes. Please depict the stormwater control features on either the <br />Mining Plan Map or on the Stormwater Management Plan Map. <br />RESPONSE: All stormwater control features are shown on the Stormwater <br />Management Plan. <br />36. Please specify if there are any sediment ponds on site. If so, please specify the <br />volume of the sediment ponds and depict the ponds on either the Mining Plan Map <br />or on the Stormwater Management Plan Map. <br />RESPONSE: No sediment ponds will be used on site. <br />6.4.8 Exhibit H — Wildlife Information <br />37. The attached comments from the Colorado Division of Wildlife are for a different <br />permitted mine site. In addition, the comments are in a letter dated 1994. As <br />required by Rule 6.4.8, please provide a description of game and non -game <br />resources on and in the vicinity of the application area, including: <br />a) A description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land. <br />b) Seasonal use of the area. <br />c) The presence and estimated population of threatened or endangered species <br />from either federal or state lists. <br />d) A description of the general effect during and after the proposed operation on <br />the existing wildlife in the area, including but not limited to temporary and <br />permanent loss of food and habitat, interference with migratory routes, and the <br />general effect on wildlife from increased human activity, including noise. <br />RESPONSE: Per meeting with Mike C. a narrative has been prepared which clearly <br />identifies "No Endangered Species" within the quarry boundary. <br />R:\2000\2089.00 Sprague Quarr DOCUMENTS\CORRESPONDENCE\COMMENTS\Sprague comment and response.docx <br />
