6.4.9 Exhibit I — Soils Information <br />38. The information contained within Exhibit I is for a different permitted mine <br />operation. Please provide the Division with information on the site specific soils for <br />this operation. <br />RESPONSE: A site specific soils narrative has been provided in Exhibit I. It describes <br />the current soil condition along with the types found on the mine site. <br />6.4.10 Exhibit J —Vegetation Information <br />39. As required by Rule 6.4.10(1)(a), please provide description of present vegetation <br />types, which include quantitative estimates of cover and height for the principal <br />species in each life form represented (i.e., trees, tall shrubs, low shrubs, grasses, <br />forbs). <br />RESPONSE: A site specific vegetation information narrative has been provided in <br />Exhibit J. It describes the existing vegetation condition along with the types sizes <br />and amounts of each found on the mine site. <br />40. As required by Rule 6.4.10(1)(c), provide estimates of carrying capacity for range <br />lands on or in the vicinity of the affected land. <br />RESPONSE: See response to #39. A carrying capacity description has also been <br />added to the Exhibit J narrative. <br />6.4.11 Exhibit K —Climate <br />No comment. <br />RESPONSE: none <br />6.4.12 Exhibit L— Reclamation Costs <br />41. As required by Rule 6.4.12(1), all information to calculate the costs of reclamation <br />must be submitted and broken down into the various major phases of reclamation <br />(i.e., quarry area, processing/staging areas, storage areas, haul roads). <br />RESPONSE: A footnote has been added to the cost breakdown sheet which better <br />describes costs associated with each phase and types of equipment being used and <br />the general volumes of materials being moved <br />6.4.13 Exhibit M — Other Permits and Licenses <br />42. A copy of an expired well permit was submitted with the application. Please <br />specify if there are any wells on site.
