RESPONSE: The overburden material is stored within the active working areas. <br />No stockpiles will be needed; all the overburden material is being constantly <br />repurposed for reclamation (see "Mining Plan Narrative"). <br />10. The applicant has stated some of the waste rock generated from the operation <br />may be sold. The Applicant should note that any waste rock which is left in place <br />on the mine slopes will have a bonding component for backfilling of the material. <br />In order to consider the material as product, it must be removed from the slopes <br />and stockpiled in the designated product storage areas. <br />RESPONSE: See response to number 9. <br />11. As required by Rule 6.4.4(e)(i), please provide an estimate of the periods of time <br />which will be required for the various phases of operation. <br />RESPONSE: Added an "Estimated Mining Operation Timetable statement to the <br />Exhibit D -Mining Plan Narrative. <br />12. Please specify where processing of the sandstone will occur and identify this area <br />on the Mining Plan Map. <br />RESPONSE: Added two (2) processing areas to the Mining Plan Map. <br />13. The Applicant submitted a Stormwater Management Plan Map and Stormwater <br />Management Detail sheet. Please provide the Division with larger (legible) copies <br />of these documents. <br />RESPONSE: Submitted full sized copies of the Stormwater Management Plan Map <br />and Stormwater Management Detail sheet. <br />14. Specify if any new roads will need to be created to accommodate mining of the <br />site. If so, specify the dimensions of the roads to be constructed and identify the <br />road(s) on the Mining Plan Map. <br />RESPONSE: No new roads will be needed. <br />15. Specify if the Operator will place any structures on site such as office <br />building/trailer or maintenance shops. If the Operator will construct any <br />permanent (with foundation) structures, then provide the dimensions of the <br />structure and a description of the building materials. In addition, locate all <br />structures on the Mining Plan Map. <br />RESPONSE: An 8' x 20' mobile trailer will be brought on site. The approximate <br />location of this trailer is denoted on the Mining Plan Map. No permanent <br />structures will be added. <br />16. Specify where topsoil will be stockpiled and describe how the stockpile will be <br />stabilized. Stabilization of stockpiles is best accomplished by re -vegetation of the <br />R:\2000\2089.00 Sprague Quarry\DOCUMENTS\CORRESPONDENCE\COMMENTS\Sprague comment and response.docx <br />
