The flow was low and most likely due to spring
runoff. The Munger Creek was dry during the inspection. The Munger Creek road crossing was stable. No
slumping or sloughing was observed along the banks.
As noted in the Backfilling and Grading section of this inspection report, the topsoil pile and sediment pond were
reclaimed during the fall of 2014. The area has been roughened for sediment control. No erosion or cutting was
observed. A silt fence lays below the topsoil pile. The silt fence has slumped a little bit. In order to ensure the silt
fence is not overtopped, the fence should be restored.
Along the reclaimed haul road are ten reconstructed drainages. All the reconstructed drainage was inspected for
cutting and failure. No issues were observed.
East Salt Creek.
Silt fence below topsoil pile.
PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11
Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement:
The waste pile was inspected for stability. No signs of slumping, sloughing or erosion were observed around the
perimeter of the pile. The small portion of the pile that was disturbed when removing an adjacent culvert was also
stable. Last fall, the area was regraded and reseeded. No issues were observed.
