i
i
(e) Reclamation Scheduling
I
( The primary stages of reclamation will include: overburden backfill final grading,
topsoil redistribution and seeding. The stages will occur consecutively.
(ii) All areas of disturbance will be reclaimed. All areas of disturbance will be
seeded.
(iii) Excavated areas in phase one operations will be reclaimed prior to any activity in
the phase two area.
(iv) The reclamation will commence with the backfilling of the stockpiled overburden
material. This material will be backfilled in an even and uniform fashion
throughout the excavated areas. This backfilling will be accomplished utilizing a
scraper.
After the overburden material has been backfilled into the excavated pit area,
the area will be graded in an even and uniform manner. The final pit slopes will
be accomplished during the grading stage of reclamation. All final pit slopes will
be graded to a final gradient less than or equal to a 3 to 1 slope (3 — horizontal to
1— vertical). The final grading will be done using a dozer and /or a motor grader.
When the grading is complete, the topsoil will be redistributed in an even and
uniform fashion throughout all disturbed areas. The topsoil redistribution will be
accomplished using a scraper.
When the topsoil has been redistributed, the areas will be seeded.
(f) Description of the Reclamation Stages
(i) Overburden Backfill: The average depth of the overburden is 4 feet (3 feet of
overburden will not be stripped, leaving it for the use in the base course product).
E -3
