CRIPPLE CREEK & VICTOR GOLD MINING Co.
ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (COLORADO)
SQUAW GULCH (VLF) WEEKLY REPORT
amec
foster
wheeler
Spent Ore:
Mine Operations hauled and stockpiled spent ore (SO) in the PSSA using Cat 793 haul trucks
and a Cat dozer for approximately a half day during the first part of the week. Spent ore
elevations were maintained above the drain cover fill grade by a minimum of 20 feet for 793 haul
truck traffic. The spent ore haul was completed on March 8th.
Approximately 8 feet of spent ore was excavated from the ADR2 engineered fill footprint (9439 to
9447 -foot elevation) and replaced with a mixture of SO and Low Volume Solution Collection Fill
( LVSCF) in the PSSA engineered fill area. LVSCF was hauled from the stockpile to the PSSA
with Cat 777 haul trucks. The fill was placed and compacted beneath the footprint of the ADR2
spent ore working platform at the 9450 elevation. CQA monitoring was then conducted by New
Fields.
Ames placed SO around the high volume solution collection system (HVSCS) riser piping and
confirmed that they were vertical plumb by surveyed prisms atop the risers. Amec confirmed that
rubber tired and dozer equipment stayed clear of the riser pipes during placement.
Subgrade: Phase 1 and 2 subgrade preparation continued per project specifications. Subgrade
was approved on the PSSA toe berm.
Cameron Site: SLF processing continued periodically at the Cameron Site.
Underdrain System:
Primary Underdrain: Complete.
Secondary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period.
Tertiary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period.
Leak Detection: No work was performed during this reporting period.
B) Underground Workings:
Workings UG 6010 and UG 6631 were prepared for geogrid placement. Further remediation is
required.
Confirmatory drilling occurred at the west side of the Anaconda Mine Complex and shot rock was
removed from the lower portion of the working. Additional remediation is required.
Confirmatory drilling occurred at working UG 6670. Additional remediation is required.
Drilling was preformed for blasting to prepare UG 6639 for geogrid placement.
II) Storm Water Management
Best Management Practices (BMPs) are being performed.
