C-1981-035 File 17-Feb-2015 <br />MT-07 Review Memo Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />(4) Ponds, Impoundments, etc. GCCis in the process of preparing a Technical Revision (TR) <br />application to update surface water portions of the King II permas-built conditions <br />(this topic is discussed in the Divisions inspection report for Jan. 28, 2015). <br />(6) Overburden. The requirements of 2.05.3(6) and 4.08 have been satisfactorily addressed - <br />the King II permit describes the surface blasting plan developed for construction of the portal <br />areas for that mine. <br />(7) Coal Handling Structures. The permit is in compliance with 2.05.3(7). Details regarding the <br />various structures are provided in Sections 2.05.4. <br />(8) Coal Mine Waste and Coal Processing Waste. The permit is in compliance with the <br />requirements of 2.05.3(8), 4.09, and 4.10. An approved coal mine waste disposal area has been <br />developed at the King I surface facilities. An application (TR-20) has been submitted to request <br />approval of a second disposal area at King I, against the former highwall. <br />(9) and 4.11.3 Return of coal mine waste to abandoned workings. GCC has not requested or <br />received approval for disposal of coal mine waste in abandoned workings. <br /> <br />2.05.4 Reclamation Plan <br />(2)(c) Plan for Backfilling and Grading. The permit is in compliance with the requirements of <br />2.05.4(2)(c).Details for each site are provided in Sections 2.05.4 <br />(2)(f) and 4.11.1 Disposal of debris, acid- and toxic-forming materials constituting a fire hazard. <br />The Division was unable to find the section of the permit that a <br />2.05.4(2)(f).
