Talvitie, P.E. <br /> <br />Subject: King Coal Mine (Permit No. C-1981-035) <br /> Midterm Review No. 7 (MT-07) <br /> <br />As requested by Dan Hernandez (Email dated 23-Dec-2014), I have conducted a review of the <br />King Coal Mine permit application package for compliance with certain of our rules. The rules <br />assigned are itemized below, together with my findings. The permit application package <br />includes separate permit text and maps for the King I and King II operations. <br /> <br />2.04.7 Baseline Hydrology Description <br />Map King I-008 consists of a cross section showing surface topography and p <br />subsurface geology. Please revise Map King I-004 (Geology/Hydrology) to show the location of <br />the cross section depicted on Map King I-008. <br />2.05.2 Operation Plan  Estimated Area for Life of Operation <br />General descriptions are provided in King I and King II Sections 2.05.2. The information <br />adequately addresses the requirements of 2.05.2(1) and (2). <br />2.05.3 Operation Plan  Permit Area <br />(1) Production methods and equipmentare addressed in Sections 2.05.2 <br />(2)(b) requires that all proposed surface disturbances to be associ <br />mining activities be described and shown on a map. Map King II-005 illustrates the proposed <br />mine workings, but does not show the locations of drill holes. Please update this map to show <br />the nine development drill holes approved under TR-22. The Division understands that other <br />than development of the mains, mining operations at King II havethus far solely <br />within the OSM permit area. In accordance with 2.05.3(2)(b), Pl-005 to <br />show the proposed timetable for mining the coal resource locatedMS permit. <br />(3) Mine Facilities are described in Sections 2.05.3(3) and 2.05.4 of the text and a <br />on Map King II-007. Haul and Access Road details are provided in King I and Ki <br />10.
