Please specify if you anticipate cutting trees for the proposed mining operation. If so, <br /> specify how the trees will be properly disposed of or dispersed. <br /> *No live trees will be cut. <br /> 2. Please specify if the proposed mining operation will be conducted year-round. If the mine will <br /> not be operated year-round, then please commit to backfilling all trenches at the end of the <br /> mining season. <br /> *We will only be hand tool digging a few weeks out of the year and back filling each pit within <br /> 12 months of opening the pit. <br /> 3. The proposed mine site is located on U.S. Forest Service land and as such members of the <br /> public will have access to your site. Please describe how you will safeguard the trenches while <br /> active mining is taking place. The Applicant may consider erecting safety fencing around the <br /> perimeter of all open trenches. <br /> *We have signage and temporary ropes around each pit, making them clearly visible to the <br /> public. <br /> 4. The applicant has stated there is an existing road to the proposed mine site. Please specify the <br /> dimensions of the existing road and clarify if you will be accessing the site by vehicle or by <br /> foot. <br /> *As stated in 6.3.5 exhibit E subpart C,we do not have access to the road and as such, will be <br /> hiking in National Forest to get back and forth to the claim. <br /> 5. The Applicant has stated there are existing hand-dug pits which are being backfilled within <br /> the proposed permit area. In accordance with Rule 6.3.3(I)(f), please specify the dimensions <br /> of any existing disturbances to the land surface such as pit excavations or stockpile areas. In <br /> addition, please specify if the Operator intends on reclaiming these disturbances. <br /> *Please re read 6.3.5 Exhibit E part (f) that states the dimensions and information of the <br /> existing pits; as follows: (f) Open pits were in the area at the time of discovery and are currently being <br /> reclamated by Travis and Amanda Anderson. There are four such pits that we have filled two of so <br /> far, with granite, topsoil and each said 10x10 ft. pit will have a pine tree planted on it, and checked <br /> twice a year for growth and development of the trees. We will fill the other two pits that were pre <br /> existing on our claim by October 2015 as well as re plant them with flora to match the surrounding <br /> areas of the claim to include pine trees. <br /> 6. The Applicant has stated the slopes within the proposed permit area do not exceed three <br /> percent. The Division has reviewed a topographic map of the area and it appears the slopes <br />
