October 28, 2014 C- 1981 - 022 /Elk Creek Mine JRS <br />and narrow and had good vegetation on it. There was a sign in place on the topsoil stockpile but, given the length <br />of the pile, it could use a second sign. There were no offsite impacts noted at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -04B was drilled and had a pump hooked up. The GVB appeared to have the annulus grouted to the <br />surface. The drill pad was stable and there appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were straw <br />wattles in the drainage ditch. There were straw wattles along the outslope of the pad. The outslopes of the pad <br />had good vegetative cover. The topsoil stockpile had good vegetation on it. There was a sign in place on the <br />topsoil stockpile. There were no offsite impacts noted at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -04 was drilled and had a pump hooked up. The GVB appeared to have the annulus grouted to the <br />surface. The drill pad was stable and there appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were no straw <br />wattles in the drainage ditch but there were rock check dams at the ditch's outlet. There were straw wattles along <br />the outslope of the pad. The outslopes of the pad had good vegetative cover. The topsoil stockpile had good <br />vegetation on it. There was a sign in place on the topsoil stockpile. There was also an upland diversion ditch at <br />this GVB pad. The ditch was stable and no erosional problems were noted. There were no offsite impacts noted <br />at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -04C was drilled and had a pump hooked up. The GVB appeared to have the annulus grouted to the <br />surface. The drill pad was stable and there appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were straw <br />wattles in the drainage ditch. There were straw wattles along the outslope of the pad. The outslopes of the pad <br />had good vegetative cover. The topsoil stockpile had some vegetation on it and could benefit from additional <br />seeding. There was a sign in place on the topsoil stockpile. There were no offsite impacts noted at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -05 was drilled and had a pump hooked up. The GVB appeared to have the annulus grouted to the <br />surface. The drill pad was stable and there appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were straw <br />wattles in the drainage ditch. There were straw wattles along the outslope of the pad. The outslopes of the pad <br />were not very steep and had good vegetative cover. The topsoil stockpile had some vegetation on it and could <br />benefit from additional seeding. There was a sign in place on the topsoil stockpile. There were no offsite impacts <br />noted at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -07B was drilled and temporarily capped but did not appear to have the annulus grouted to the surface. <br />The drill pad was fairly flat and was stable and had a partial berm around it. There appeared to be positive <br />drainage off of the pad. There were straw wattles in the drainage ditch and in the flat area along the base of the <br />pad. The topsoil stockpile was very large and had good vegetation on it. There was a sign in place on the topsoil <br />stockpile. There were no offsite impacts noted at this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -08 was drilled and appeared to have the annulus grouted to the surface. This GVB did not have a pump <br />attached and was not temporarily capped. The drill pad was fairly flat and was stable and had a partial berm <br />around it. There appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were straw wattles in the drainage ditch <br />and along the outslope of the pad. The outslopes of the pad had good vegetative cover. The topsoil stockpile had <br />good vegetation on it. There was a sign in place on the topsoil stockpile. There were no offsite impacts noted at <br />this GVB. <br />- GVB 18 -09 was drilled and appeared to have the annulus grouted to the surface. This GVB did not have a pump <br />attached and was not temporarily capped. The drill pad was stable and had a partial berm around it. There <br />appeared to be positive drainage off of the pad. There were no straw wattles in the drainage ditch but there were <br />straw wattles along the road and outslope of the pad. The topsoil stockpile had some vegetation on it but could <br />benefit from additional seeding. There was a lot of slash on the topsoil stockpile. There was a sign in place on the <br />topsoil stockpile.
