ameO <br />Structural fill was placed upslope from K -Bench stations K34 +00 to K41 +00. The structural fill <br />material placed in this area came from the following locations: <br />• The Surge area east of the Phase 2 Diversion Channel station 50 +00 (day and night <br />shift) <br />• Stockpiled material from the Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Facility (SGVLF) haul road at <br />various stations (dayshift) <br />Any oversized material encountered was reduced in size by an excavator with a hammer <br />attachment. <br />Slope grading occurred in the Phase 1 area at the following locations: <br />• Above SGVLF haul road stations 16 +00 to 18 +00. <br />• Above SGVLF haul road stations 45 +00 to 48 +00. <br />• Above SGVLF haul road stations 55 +00 to 64 +00. <br />Any material generated from slope grading activities was stockpiled for subsequent removal and <br />use as structural fill. <br />Material graded from above SGVLF haul road stations 45 +00 to 48 +00 was placed as structural <br />fill on the haul road between stations 45 +00 to 48 +00 and upslope of stations J12 +00 to J14 +00. <br />Material was hauled from the Surge area to construct the 20 -foot SGVLF haul ramp onto the <br />PSSA for subsequent heavy haul truck traffic between SGVLF haul road stations 11 +00 to 13 +00. <br />Subgrade: (Operations Temporarily Suspended) <br />Soil Liner Fill (SLF): (Placement Operations Temporarily Suspended) <br />SLF was hauled from the Cameron Clay Pit area and stockpiled below Bench F between stations <br />F0 +00 and F10 +00. <br />Cameron Site: SLF processing continued at the Cameron Site. <br />Underdrain System: <br />Primary Underdrain: Complete. <br />Secondary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period. <br />Tertiary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period. <br />Leak Detection: No work was performed during this reporting period. <br />B) Underground Workings: <br />Underground working UG 6119 was previously remediated using geogrid and partially backfilled. <br />Ames resumed backfilling operations using onsite structural fill. The structural fill was placed in <br />18 inch to 24 inch lifts by a D6 dozer and compacted with a Cat smooth drum roller. This site is <br />considered remediated. <br />Access to UG workings 6117, 6153, 6551, 6579 was restored for subsequent cemented rock fill <br />placement. <br />Cemented Rock Fill (CRF) was placed atop previously placed concrete plugs at the following <br />underground workings (Additional remediation is required): <br />UG #6117 = 50 cubic yards <br />UG #6153 = 64 cubic yards <br />UG #6551 = 40 cubic yards <br />UG #6579 = 158 cubic yards <br />2014- 11- 22 -MLE2 WEEKLY FINAL Page 2 of 7 <br />
