October 16, 2014 C- 1981 - 044 /Williams Fork Mines JLE <br />Also several of the de- watering devices have shrubs growing around them that may impede their functionality. <br />Rule 4.05.9(2) requires these impoundments and spillways to function as designed and Rule 4.05.9(l 1) requires <br />maintenance of these structures. MCM must remove the brush hindering any dewatering device and obstructing <br />the spillways. At the end of the inspection, Mr. Watterson met with a contractor that MCM has hired to conduct <br />the required maintenance. According to Mr. Watterson the repairs were to be conducted the following week. <br />As part of the repairs noted above, Culvert 63 will be replaced. <br />Water from the spoil spring was discharging at the v -notch weir at discharge point 022 as depicted on Map 26. <br />The Utah Tract liability area was observed. This area is revegetated and appears stable. Contour ditches, dozer <br />basins and a stock pond are in place within the liability area. The stockpond was dry at the time of the inspection. <br />It appears a portion of this parcel drains into the East Buzzard drainage and the Coyote drainage. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />This mine is currently under temporary cessation. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03; Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The roads were graded and maintained. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15; Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The Williams Fork Strip Pit was observed. A large patch of Cheatgrass was observed on the north side of the <br />drainage and will need to be treated. Overall, the perennial grasses appear to dominate the strip pit area and <br />sagebrush has volunteered throughout the site. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />Portal 5 was observed. This portal has been backfilled and graded. The backfilled material appears stable, large <br />rills and gullies were not observed. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The mine facilities were observed, no problems were noted. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />MCM attempted to correct the mine identification signs which reads an incorrect permit no. C- 081 -044 by <br />applying a white paint covering over the first 0 in the number.
