Mine Facilities and <br />Operation <br />The facilities for this mine site will be portable, allowing them to be moved from pit to pit. The <br />facilities will consist of a portable asphalt plant, portable truck scale, portable concrete plant, <br />portable pumping equipment, and portable scale house /office trailer and gen -set light fixtures in <br />case some urgent work must be done at night. These facilities will be placed on yet to be mined, <br />or previously mined pits. The portable crushing and screening plant and portable stacker <br />conveyors will be located in each mining pit. No night operations are scheduled for this site. <br />Table D -5 below shows a summary of the tanks which will be present onsite. <br />- 10,000 gallon diesel tank that is part of the crushing plant. <br />- 5,000 gallon diesel tank which is part of the wash plant. <br />- 2,000 gallon tank which is located near the active pit for fueling mobile equipment. <br />The following list is the best estimate as to the equipment which will be used onsite throughout <br />the mine life: <br />Table D -5 <br />Tank <br />Location <br />Quantity <br />Capacity <br />Containment Type <br />Fuel Farm <br />1 <br />2,000 Gallon Diesel <br />All tanks with a linen basin that is <br />Crusher <br />Plant <br />1 <br />10,000 Gallon Diesel <br />bermed. 110% of tank capacity <br />Wash Plant <br />1 <br />5,000 Gallon Diesel <br />All of the tanks and the ongoing procedures for inspections and maintenance will be in <br />compliance with the SPCC plan for the site. To further protect hydrologic balance, tank <br />inspections and ground inspections will occur daily on the site. If any fuel or asphaltic material is <br />encountered, the gravel material will be recycled through the asphalt plant. Also, the Division <br />will be notified in case of any spills on site.
