Geomembrane installation was performed in the area shown <br />on Figure 3. Approximately 111,246 square feet of primary 100mil LLDPE was deployed <br />using a John Deere 200 excavator and a John Deere 544 front -end loader with spreader -bar <br />attachments. Subgrade was inspected and approved by AMEC and Lone Star representatives <br />prior to geomembrane deployment (see Figure 3). Approximately 5,900 linear feet of seam was <br />fusion welded using two fusion welding machines. Thirteen destructive test samples were <br />marked during fusion seaming. All destructive tests performed were within project <br />specifications. Non - destructive testing was performed for fusion welded seams. Repairs were <br />performed using the extrusion welding method for all marked defects. Vacuum testing was <br />performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. <br />B) Anchor Trench <br />1) VLF <br />Anchor trench backfill was performed between stations B 12 +00 ( + / -) and B 14 +00, between <br />stations C0 +00 ( + / -) and C3 +00 ( + / -) and between stations G30 +00 ( + / -) and G32 +50 ( + / -) <br />using a John Deere 35D excavator and laborers. An AMEC representative observed and <br />inspected the anchor trench backfill. The trench was found to be backfilled in accordance with <br />design drawings and project specifications. <br />C) Geomembrane Acceptance <br />1) VLF <br />After air testing was performed, the geomembrane in the anchor trench was accepted to allow <br />for backfilling (see Figure 4 for previously accepted geomembrane). <br />D) Geomembrane Delivery <br />1) VLF <br />Two loads (22 rolls) of 80mi1 LLDPE single sided textured geomembrane rolls were delivered <br />to site during the shift. The load was delivered on a flat bed truck in good condition. The rolls <br />were unloaded using a CAT 950 front -end loader with forks attached. The geomembrane was <br />placed on three pieces of HDPE pipe, stacked two rolls high. An AMEC field representative <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.18.10.1) <br />
