February 19, 2014 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine JLE <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Large herds of elk were observed throughout the site. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05; Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Deal 41 Pond was snow and ice covered and was holding a small amount of water. The embankment was snow <br />covered but appeared stable. The primary and emergency spillway were snow covered but appeared functional. <br />The pond was not discharging. <br />East Flume Pond was holding snow but was otherwise dry and not discharging. The embankment was stable. The <br />primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br />East Middle Flume 41 Pond was holding water and was ice covered. The embankment was stable and vegetated. <br />The pond was discharging from the spillway but the water was not reaching the flume. A small layer of ice was in <br />the flume. <br />Middle Flume 4' ) Pond was holding water and was ice covered. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br />primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. The pond was discharging. <br />Horse Gulch pond was inaccessible due to snow and mud on the access road. The pond was viewed from the ridge <br />above. The pond was holding water and was snow covered. It appeared that the pond was discharging from the <br />spillway but it does not appear the flow was reaching the flume. <br />Middle Pyeatt Pond 41 was holding a small amount of water and was ice covered. The pond was not discharging. <br />The embankment was stable and vegetated and the primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br />Middle Pyeatt 42 Pond was dry and the embankment appeared stable. The primary and emergency spillway was <br />clear and functional. <br />Middle Pyeatt 43 Pond was holding a small amount of snow. The pond was not discharging. The embankment <br />appeared stable. <br />Grouse 41 Pond was holding a small amount of water but was ice covered. The pond was not discharging. The <br />embankment appeared stable and the primary and emergency spillway was functional. <br />Grouse 42 Pond was holding a small amount of snow but was otherwise dry.
